Kinetic Portraits.

The portraits on the left are currently being exhibited at the Confederation Centre for the Arts in Charlottetown Prince Edward Island as part of 10 & 60 to mark the 60th year of Newfoundland’s Confederation with Canada.

The sitters were drawn from a range of prominent Newfoundlanders who where, to put it simply, videoed. The results are a striking range of moving portraits that capture and witness the subjects reliving their own experiences, on camera. This process gives the viewer a true glimpse of the sitter and creates a genuine memoralization of the subject.
