Cover SeriesIn November 2011 the Newfoundland and Labrador Arts Council awarded Peter a grant to create Cover Versions – a series of new artworks based on images from the history of art, downloaded from the internet which are then re-configured and re-interpreted in novel ways. It’s the visual equivalent of a musical cover version.
The series is close to completion, Uccello and Rococo are currently on-line with the rest to follow soon.May 8th 2012
The Avalon PeninsulaPeter Wilkins’ most recent series, The Avalon Peninsula, is a selection of striped works featuring the ocean, bays, landscapes and cityscapes of the Avalon Peninsula. A selection will be on display at the opening of the new Christina Parker Gallery, in St John's on Wednesday.June 29th, 2011
