Planes, Trains, Oceans and Horizons From a distance these works appear to be a mixture of Californian colourism and abstract expressionism. The colours and patterns create a strong visual impression, but examined more closely the viewer can see the details that create the patterns. Each component of the artwork is a manipulated digital photograph that investigates the land, sky and seascapes that surround us as we travel past them. The key aim of these works is to manipulate the visual impression and its subsequent interpretation by the viewer as they approach and retreat from each artwork, changing its very nature.
